About Us
CCMI is an interdenominational, non-profit organization established for the equipping of existing pastors in remote regions of the world. This was the call till 2011 when many young people started coming to school. We are now training people from the ages of 16 thru 60. It is a blending of the generations.
Harry and Kathy McMichael felt they were called to be missionaries before they were married in 1964. They didn’t actually step into that role until 1999. They both have earned their Masters Degree in Christian Theology. Both are licensed and ordained.
Since 1999, they have spent 4 months a year holding weekly pastor’s conferences in the remote regions of East Africa until 2008.
In 2008 the Maasai gave them 10 hectors (about 12 acres) of land in Tanzania near the Kilimanjaro International Airport. CCMI is registered as a Non Government Organization (NGO) in East Africa. Surveys have been completed and the land legally belongs to the ministry. The first building was completed June 2009.
The Bible School began May 5, 2009 in a neighboring Lutheran Church. The first class of 25 Maasai students graduated August, 2010. A second class of students graduated in September of 2011.
A children’s school was started in 2011. Students range in age from 3 to 12.
